- Red (Rooibos) Tea contains the super anti-oxidant Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD1).
- SOD1 is a gene found in human cells that produces Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD), an extremely potent antioxidant enzyme that fights cellular damage from reactive singlet oxygen molecules, also known as free radicals.
